1. Scope
This policy applies to rowedigital.net, the corporate website published by The Trustee for Rowe Digital Trust, ABN 13 313 912 737. It forms part of our website terms.
The site is a set of static pages with no accounts, no uploads and no checkout, so this is a short policy. Most people will never come close to breaching it.
2. Products have their own rules
This policy does not cover our products. What you may and may not do inside a product — content rules, sharing access with other people, fair use of a plan, and what gets an account suspended — is set out in that product's own terms:
- BubSync — terms of service on bubsync.com
- My Energy Agent — terms of service on myenergyagent.au
3. Security and integrity
You must not:
- probe, scan or test the vulnerability of this website or the infrastructure behind it, except under the responsible disclosure process in our security overview;
- attempt to gain access to any system, account or data you have not been granted access to;
- interfere with, degrade or overload the site, including by flooding it with requests;
- introduce malware, or use the site to distribute or link to anything designed to cause damage; or
- remove or obscure any copyright, trade mark or other proprietary notice.
4. Automated access and scraping
Crawling this site to index it for a search engine is fine, within robots.txt. Quoting an article with attribution and a link is fine, and so is reading it in a tool that summarises pages for you.
What is not fine is bulk extraction that republishes this site as your own, or automated traffic heavy enough to affect availability. If you want to do something systematic with our content, email hello@rowedigital.net first. The answer is usually yes.
5. Our content and brand
You must not:
- copy this website wholesale, or republish our writing as your own work;
- use our names, logos or product branding in a way that suggests we endorse you, or that you are part of Rowe Digital; or
- register a domain, account or app listing designed to be mistaken for one of ours.
6. Impersonation and misuse of our name
Do not claim to speak for Rowe Digital, BubSync or My Energy Agent, and do not present yourself as our staff, agent or reseller unless we have agreed to it in writing.
If you receive an email, invoice or message claiming to be from us and you are not sure it is genuine, forward it to hello@rowedigital.net before you act on it. We would much rather check a false alarm than find out later.
7. Our published address
The address on this site is published so people can reach us. Do not use it for unsolicited bulk mail, sales prospecting lists, phishing, or anything the Spam Act 2003 (Cth) prohibits. Publishing an address is not consent to be marketed to.
8. Reporting a problem
To report a breach of this policy, email hello@rowedigital.net with what you saw and where. Include "abuse report" in the subject line.
To report a security vulnerability, follow the responsible disclosure process in our security overview instead.
To report something that happened inside a product, write to that product's support address, listed on our support page. That is where the account records are.
We treat reports confidentially. We will acknowledge within 1 business day and tell you the outcome where we are able to.
9. How we enforce this
Depending on what has happened, we may:
- contact you and ask you to stop;
- rate-limit or block the traffic involved;
- take the matter up with your hosting or network provider, or with a domain registrar; or
- report the matter to law enforcement or a regulator.
For anything other than serious or unlawful conduct, we will contact you first and give you a reasonable chance to fix it. For serious or unlawful conduct, we act immediately. If you think we got a decision wrong, email hello@rowedigital.net and a human will review it.
Questions about this policy
Write to hello@rowedigital.net and we will respond within 1 business day. That address covers this website, the company, and formal notices.
Anything about a product — your account, a charge, a refund, or the data held in it — goes to that product's own support address, listed on our support page.
